Genymotion Finally Gives us a Good Jelly Bean Desktop Emulator

Bluestacks has been a long time favorite for many of us who wanted to emulate our beloved OS on our computers. However, a complaint that many have introduced is that it stopped at Android 2.3 Gingerbread. A lot of good features on both apps and Android as an OS only function on ICS or higher system (some won’t without Jelly Bean), so it made Bluestacks rather lackluster. However, Genymotion decided to do something and introduce what we’d hoped to see for quite some time.

There is nothing too serious other than to say that Genymotion allows you to install an Android virtual machine on your PC, Mac or Linux computer. This allows you to run apps and even some games. The emulation is very smooth and is a worthwhile experience.

A note for those that are considering making this a gaming solution. From my experience with Genymotion, it does not support bluetooth, so that means that the clicks are your fingers. Unless there is a way to get to mice working on a single system, then you’re kind of stuck. Also, for you Instagram junkies, it apparently does not support cameras. When I tried to use my mac camera, it wouldn’t connect. Therefore, there are good and bad things about it. However, if you are looking forward to emulating a smooth Jelly Bean experience on your computer, then this is the go to route.

If you want to download it simply follow the link below, sign up, follow the instructions and viola, you have Android 4.1 on your computer!
